Union Public Service Commission has released the result of Civil Services 2022, in which 26-year-old IAS Ishita Rathi has topped the UPSC exam by securing 8th rank, it was her 3rd attempt in this IAS exam.

Ishita’s parents are in the post of Assistant Sub Inspector and Head Constable in Delhi Police.
After the result of civil services, Ishita told that her parents are behind her interest in this field because she has come to this field after seeing her parents, Ishita said that if the country wants development, then it is very important for women to develop.
Ishita told that when UPSC 2021 result was declared, “I was surprised to see my name in top ten because it is very uncertain. Because in today’s time the competition has become so tough that every attempt is very different from the previous attempt, so till the results are not known, it is not known which strategy is effective or not”.
Ishita’s mother Meenakshi Rathi is in the post of SI in Delhi Police and father IS Rathi is in the post of Head Constable in Delhi.

Ishita has completed her schooling from DAV Public School, Vasant Kunj. And did her graduation in economics from Lady Shri Ram College Delhi University and master’s from Madras School of Economics in Chennai.
Strategy For UPSC
Ishita told that she did not take any separate coaching for this exam. I started my preparation with the strategies chosen by the toppers. In which I made YouTube the main source along with online material.
she used newspapers and magazines for current affairs in UPSC exam and she got help from major popular books which have spectrum for history and laxmikanth polity.
She also claimed to wake up early in the morning and study, Ishita said that she used to study for a few hours a day and take breaks in between, due to which she did not study keeping in mind the time but gave herself a target.
Giving tips to the new aspirants, Ishita told that first of all you have to bring confidence in yourself, secondly you should be only with positive people and you should be healthy so that you will pass the exam which you have prepared for this exam.
I got full support of my parents during UPSC preparation, my goal was to become IAS I want to work for women and children empowerment by becoming an IAS officer. He further said that if women develop in a country, then only the country will develop.

UPSC Marks
Ishita got 862 marks in upsc mains written exam and 168 marks in interview. That is, ishita got total 1030 (50.8%) marks out of 2025 in upsc civil services examination.

Ishita said that her first priority was civil service and the second is teaching . She also said during the interview that if she could not clear the civil services examination , I would have opted for academics in economics .
Ishita, who hails from Baghpat district of western UP, said, “Through my civil services, I can give back to the community and contribute to nation building.”
Ishita gave her first attempt in 2019 when she completed her post graduation. In 2020 again she gave her second attempt in which she qualified in mains exam and reached interview round. And in the third attempt 2021, she secured 8th rank in the UPSC exam.

Ishita rathi has secured the All India Rank 8 in the Union Public Service Commission UPSC exam 2021. she is graduate from Lady Shri Ram College Delhi University.
